Detective Teague, who earned a master's degree in Public Administration and previously worked as a social worker, joined the Upland Police Department in 2014. She began her career in law enforcement as a field training officer and later served as the School Resources Officer, where she positively impacted thousands of students and strengthened the relationship between law enforcement and youth.

In July 2022, she was promoted to detective, focusing on property crimes and crimes against vulnerable populations, including children and the elderly. Teague also played a vital role in training fellow officers in essential skills such as first aid, CPR, and Narcan use, and led the department's negotiation team.

Her dedication and passion for public service left a lasting impression on her colleagues and the community. Detective Teague is survived by her husband, Upland Police Lieutenant Lon Teague, along with her family members, including her parents, siblings, and stepchildren. The council's tribute underscores the profound impact she had on those around her and the legacy she leaves behind in Upland.
