The council is inviting all residents to participate in a series of festive activities scheduled for December 5 and 6, aimed at celebrating the holiday season and fostering community spirit.
The festivities will kick off with the annual tree lighting ceremony on December 5 at 6 PM at the Promenade Park Amphitheater. This enchanting event will feature activities such as photos with Santa, a holiday market, and carolers, culminating in the official tree lighting at 6:30 PM.

Subscribe for Free On December 6, the excitement continues with the Night of Lights Parade, organized by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, starting at 7 PM along Klausner Boulevard. This year’s parade theme, "Country Christmas," promises to showcase over 100 illuminated floats that celebrate traditional holiday cheer, complete with festive music and decorations.
Additionally, the Edinburg Fire Department will host "Sirens and Santa" on the same evening, from 6 PM to 10 PM. This event combines holiday fun with fire safety education, featuring a live animal show, magician acts, a petting zoo, and free carnival rides. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the parade and then join the festivities for a full evening of entertainment.
The council also announced the 29th annual Blue Santa toy giveaway, scheduled for December 13 from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Promenade Park Amphitheater. This initiative, sponsored by the Edinburg Police Department, aims to provide toys and create memorable experiences for families in the community.
