Jackson Resource Center plans 80 tiny homes to combat homelessness with comprehensive support services

The center's approach focuses on "Housing First," which prioritizes placing individuals in stable housing while providing ongoing support to ensure long-term success. However, the lack of sufficient case management resources was identified as a significant barrier to achieving these goals.

In addition to addressing immediate housing needs, the Jackson Resource Center is planning to develop a campus that will include 80 tiny homes, alongside facilities for medical care and workforce development. This initiative aims to create a holistic environment where individuals can access various services without leaving the premises, thereby fostering a supportive community.

The meeting also touched on the necessity for improved communication among various stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and healthcare providers.
