Following Hathaway, Kendall Webb, a parent from Jacksonville Beach Elementary, expressed confusion and concern over the potential loss of a second classroom at her child's school, despite a waiting list of 150 students eager to enroll. Webb highlighted the disruption caused by previous classroom reductions and urged the board to postpone any decisions regarding classroom cuts until a clearer understanding of enrollment and budget issues could be established.

Mitchie Reed, a public sector employee, also spoke out, advocating for fair wages for school support staff. Reed called for the board to support ongoing negotiations with local unions, emphasizing the essential role these workers play in the community and the need for their wages to reflect their contributions.
