Sioux Falls expands Junior Kindergarten Academy to four elementary schools this fall

Junior Kindergarten Academy is set to expand in Sioux Falls, providing more opportunities for young learners. Starting this fall, the program will include Cleveland and Hayward Elementary Schools, joining Robert Frost and JFK Elementary Schools as locations for the initiative.

This expansion aims to better serve the community by offering four locations where children who turn five by September 1st can enroll. The Junior Kindergarten Academy is designed for children who may benefit from additional time to develop their literacy, numeracy, and social skills before entering kindergarten.

The program operates as a free, all-day model, with half of the day dedicated to academic instruction and the other half focused on social, emotional, and physical growth. This structure helps children build confidence and familiarity with school routines, making it an excellent option for those with summer birthdays.
