The Perris Planning Commission has taken a significant step towards enhancing the local economy by approving a proposal to merge three parcels of land for the construction of a new industrial building. During the meeting held on December 4, 2024, the Commission unanimously adopted a resolution to facilitate the development of a 24,090 square foot facility on 1.51 acres located on the west side of Lakeview Drive, between Commerce Drive and Business Park Drive.
This project, known as the Commerce Business Park project, is designed to support a small electronic distribution company. The development is expected to generate local jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the Perris Valley Commerce Center, which is zoned for light industrial use. The approval process included a review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), with the project deemed categorically exempt as an infill development.
