Entrepreneurs seek liquor license for gourmet shop and wine bar in Leonardtown

Wallow assured the board that the baskets would be made to order and that she would verify the age of the recipient.

The board granted conditional approval for Wallow's application, allowing her 60 days to finalize her establishment. This decision highlights the board's support for local entrepreneurship and the potential for increased economic activity in Leonardtown.

The second application came from Dorothy Sparling, who seeks to expand her existing tea room to include the sale of wine and beer. Sparling's establishment has been a fixture in the community for over a decade, and she expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with local wineries to promote the region's wine industry. Her plans include serving wine on-site and selling bottles for off-premise consumption. The board welcomed her initiative, recognizing the potential for enhancing local tourism and community engagement through the promotion of local wines.
