The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD) celebrated the successful conclusion of its centennial year during a recent work session, highlighting a series of events that brought the community together. The celebration included historical bus tours, a parade, an open house, and a gala, all designed to honor the district's rich history and engage residents.

More than 2,500 community members participated in the centennial festivities, showcasing the strong support from students, staff, families, and friends. A standout event was the Centennial Gala held at Longwood Gardens, which attracted approximately 400 guests. Attendees enjoyed an evening filled with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and dancing, featuring the Philadelphia-based band, Monte Carlo.

The gala not only provided a memorable experience but also raised significant funds for the district. The net proceeds totaled over $27,021, with $6,738 allocated to a community scholarship and $20,283 directed to the Education Foundation. This financial support will help further educational initiatives and scholarships, benefiting students and the broader community.
