Fifth grader Dahlia Dyckman, a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation, spoke passionately about her participation in a camp focused on Indigenous traditions. Beckett Brown, a student at Martinez Junior High School, reflected on his four years in the Indian Education program, which provides tutoring and cultural activities. He praised the program for its role in teaching students about their heritage and fostering a sense of community through events like winter gatherings and summer camps.

John Muir Elementary is celebrating Native American Heritage Month with lessons, art displays, and an upcoming Aztec dance assembly. Additionally, the school is implementing a Peacemaker program where fifth graders learn to support their peers through community and restorative circles.
Other highlights included announcements of upcoming events, such as family STEM nights, field trips, and community science projects focused on recycling. The board acknowledged the achievements of the Alhambra High School Girls Flag Football team, which made a remarkable playoff run, and discussed the importance of student engagement in various educational activities.
