Redmond City Council approves safety projects and grant funding for speed study

Redmond City Council has taken significant steps towards enhancing community safety and infrastructure during its Committee of the Whole meeting on February 4, 2025. This project, identified in the local road safety plan, requires no matching funds and aims to address critical safety concerns in the area.

Furthermore, the council accepted grant funding for a citywide speed study, which will analyze speed limits and recommend adjustments to prioritize safety for all road users. This study is part of a broader effort to address high-risk networks within the city. The findings will inform potential speed limit reductions and necessary design changes to enhance safety on arterial and collector streets.
