Derby development plans new restaurant with drive-thru on North Rock Road

Instead, the restaurant will utilize two driveways on Destination Drive for customer access. The layout also incorporates designated employee parking and order waiting stalls to streamline operations.

The applicant has made revisions to the landscaping plan, addressing previous staff comments and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Notably, the design avoids placing trees within the Southern Star pipeline easement, a critical consideration for safety and regulatory compliance. The planning team emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration with Southern Star throughout the design and construction phases to prevent any potential issues.

Architecturally, the building will feature a visually appealing design, including a mural on the side facing Rock Road to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area. Renderings presented at the meeting showcased the main entrance and drive-through pickup window, highlighting the effort to create an inviting atmosphere for patrons.
