Benicia High School's debate team has made headlines after a remarkable performance at the prestigious Berkeley High Invitational, where students Cozette Calderon and Daniel Delgado secured second place among 74 competing teams. Their success is attributed to the dedicated guidance of advisor Michelle Gaines and the support of alumni coaches, showcasing a strong community commitment to student achievement.
In addition to the debate team's accomplishments, Benicia High School students also excelled at the NorCal KidWind Championship, where they designed and built an efficient wind turbine. Eleven students from the advanced engineering design class participated, demonstrating the school's emphasis on hands-on learning and innovation.
