Clear Creek Crossing unveils Lookout development featuring Prost Brewery and food hall

In a recent Wheat Ridge Planning Commission meeting, significant developments were discussed regarding the proposed Lookout project at Clear Creek Crossing. This initiative aims to enhance the area with a new public park and a collection of three buildings designed to foster community engagement and recreational opportunities.

The Lookout will be strategically located just north of Lifetime Fitness, with access primarily from Bear Creek Drive and Crossing Drive. This design intends to create a seamless pedestrian connection from the nearby hospital to the lookout area. The project will feature shared parking for the three buildings and a public plaza that will serve as a gathering space for visitors.

The centerpiece of the development is a U-shaped configuration of buildings, with the open side facing Lookout Mountain. The northern building will house Prost Brewery, known for its authentic German cuisine and craft beers. Prost Brewery has established a strong presence in Colorado, with four existing locations, and plans to include a large patio that opens onto the public park.

The middle building, referred to as "The Patio," will offer a food hall experience operated by the owners of the popular Recess restaurant. This venue will feature a variety of food options, including an Italian deli, ice cream stall, and indoor golf simulators, all centered around a large bar area.

The southern building will be a multi-tenant space, with plans for a breakfast restaurant from the reputable Troy Guard restaurant group. This building will also include an open-air breezeway connecting patrons from the southern parking lot to the public park.

The park itself is designed with family-friendly amenities, including a playground themed around agriculture, turf areas for games, fire pits, and an amphitheater for community events. The amphitheater will feature a permanent stage for musical performances and outdoor movie screenings, enhancing the cultural offerings of the area.
