Baldwin Middle School announces Willy Wonka Junior musical performances in March

The Board of Education meeting held on February 12, 2025, featured an engaging presentation from the Baldwin Middle School drama department. Mister Propello introduced the evening's program, expressing gratitude to Miss O'Hagan for her contributions to the middle school.

The highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the upcoming musical, "Willy Wonka Junior," based on Roald Dahl's beloved story, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." The production will showcase the adventures of Willy Wonka, a whimsical candy maker, and the children who discover his hidden golden tickets.

The students have been diligently preparing under the guidance of their directors, including Missus Wilder, Missus Benedetti, Missus Solechia, Mister Chen, and Mister Smith. They have been focusing on choreography, musical numbers, and acting skills. Notably, they are collaborating with Brandon Firth, a lead from the high school musical "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," who is assisting in various aspects of the show.

The performances of "Willy Wonka Junior" are scheduled for March 13 to March 15 at Baldwin Middle School. During the meeting, the students provided a sneak peek of their production with a medley of musical numbers, showcasing their hard work and talent.

Tickets for the performances will be available for purchase in early March. The students expressed their appreciation to the Board for the opportunity to present and invited everyone to attend the upcoming shows. The meeting concluded with excitement for the upcoming performances and the dedication of the students involved.
