Santa Rosa County honors Gulf Breeze High School Lady Dolphins volleyball team for historic season

The Gulf Breeze High School Lady Dolphins varsity volleyball team was celebrated at the Santa Rosa County Regular Meeting on December 12, 2024, for their outstanding achievements during the 2024 season. Commissioner Wright led the recognition, highlighting the team's impressive 30-2 record, making them the only school in Florida to win 30 matches this season. The Lady Dolphins secured their sixth consecutive district title and triumphed in the regional championship, ultimately finishing as state runners-up.

Wright emphasized the importance of acknowledging positive community contributions, particularly those of youth, stating, "These are our upcoming leaders." He praised the team's dedication, noting that several players set new school records, including Sarah Frazee and Bella Satterwhite, who both reached significant career milestones in digs and kills, respectively.

Coach Jasmine King expressed pride not only in their athletic accomplishments but also in the character of her players, many of whom excel academically and actively engage in community service.
