Bay County honors Mark Allen Smith for exceptional community service and veteran support

The Bay County Board of Commissioners meeting on February 18, 2025, was marked by a heartfelt tribute to Mark Allen Smith, a dedicated community member who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 75. The resolution honoring Smith highlighted his lifelong commitment to service, particularly for veterans, and his numerous contributions to the Bay County community.

Commissioner McGinn led the resolution, which detailed Smith's extensive volunteer work, including his roles with the Knights of Columbus and the Polish Legion of American Veterans. The meeting also recognized the Delta College women's soccer team for their remarkable achievement in winning the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship. This victory marked the team's second national title, following their previous win in 2020.
