The ordinance passed after a motion by Nancy and a second by Jill.

The clerk told the committee she plans to revisit potential further pay increases in the 2026 budget process and that increases for April 2025 were intended to align the county with state reimbursement rules. She also said she will pursue replacing aging poll-book hardware by issuing an RFP this summer; the vendor currently used told the office rentals were not available.

The clerk said an ethics-software purchase is planned for this year and estimated the cost at roughly $25,000 to $30,000; she said she will check whether automation or other county funds can legally cover the purchase and will bring the item to finance if necessary.
