Heidelberg High School Oilers win first MHSAA Class 2A State Championship

In a moment of triumph for the small town of Heidelberg, the Mississippi State Legislature has officially recognized the Heidelberg High School Oilers football team for their historic victory in the MHSAA Class 2A State Championship. Senate Resolution 8, adopted on January 30, 2025, commends the team and their coach, Darryl Carter, for clinching their first-ever state title with a decisive 38-6 win over Charleston.
