This honor, awarded by the University of Rochester, includes a $4,000 prize for Mrs. Loymans and an additional $3,500 for the school. Her nomination came from former student Grace McCompley, a 2021 graduate, who expressed her gratitude for the profound impact Mrs. Loymans had on her education. The news brought joy to Mrs. Loymans, who was described as being "on cloud nine" upon receiving the call about her award.
