Community honors lives of Janet Dalton and Jeff Tober in heartfelt remembrance

Her dedication extended beyond politics; she was a life member and past president of the Auxiliary of Hillsville Volunteer Fire Department and contributed significantly to the Carroll County Senior Citizen program. Her legacy of service and leadership resonated deeply with those who knew her.

Jeffrey James Tobler, who died at 54, was celebrated for his unwavering commitment to youth sports and mentorship. A high school graduate of the same class as the board member who spoke, Tobler was a cherished coach who dedicated over two decades to nurturing young athletes in football, basketball, and softball. His passion for sports was matched only by his devotion to his family, including his wife of 33 years and six grandchildren. The board member reflected on Tobler's joyful spirit and the profound loss felt by the community.
