GHS choir students achieve All State recognition at San Antonio event

The Gatesville ISD Board Meeting on February 24, 2025, celebrated remarkable achievements in the choir program, highlighting the exceptional talents of three students who earned All State Choir recognition. This prestigious honor is considered the pinnacle of success for high school choir members, with only 20 students statewide achieving this distinction.

During the meeting, it was noted that the Gatesville High School (GHS) choir continues to break records, showcasing their dedication and hard work. The three students recognized for their outstanding accomplishments had invested countless hours in preparation and auditions, competing against thousands of peers across Texas.

Katie Hobson, who earned the impressive title of second chair in soprano, was among those honored. The students had recently performed at the TMEA All State Choir event in San Antonio, marking a significant milestone in their musical careers.
