In a recent Davis County Commission work session, discussions centered around the development of a new General RV facility, which promises to bring significant economic benefits to the community. The proposed site, located near the Adams Avenue Parkway exit off I-84, encompasses approximately 23 acres across three parcels, all owned by the same developer.
General RV is set to create over 100 jobs, with an average salary estimated between $80,000 and $85,000 annually. This development not only aims to enhance local employment opportunities but also includes an educational component known as the RV Technical Institute. This institute will provide training for future employees, addressing both the sales and service aspects of the RV industry.
The facility will feature a substantial service area with numerous bays, ensuring that maintenance and repairs can be efficiently handled. This is particularly important for the community, as it will provide residents with local access to RV services that were previously limited.
This new location will be General RV's second in Utah, following their existing facility in Draper. The commission's support for this development reflects a commitment to fostering economic growth and job creation in Davis County, aligning with broader community goals of enhancing local industry and workforce development. As plans progress, residents can look forward to the positive impacts this facility will bring to the area.
