Folsom Lake College women's soccer team honored for back-to-back state championships

In a heartwarming ceremony at Folsom City Hall, the Folsom Lake College women's soccer team was honored for their remarkable achievements, including back-to-back state championships in 2023 and 2024. The atmosphere was filled with pride as Mayor Sarah Aquino presented a resolution of commendation to the team, celebrating their historic accomplishments in the California Community College Athletic Association.

As the team gathered on stage, the mayor highlighted their determination and sportsmanship, noting that they became the first Northern California college to win consecutive championships since 1996. The 2023 title marked a significant milestone as the first-ever state championship for the women's soccer program at Folsom Lake College. The following year, the Falcons secured their second championship with an impressive record of 21 wins, 1 loss, and 2 draws, culminating in a victory at American River College.
