Groundbreaking for Senior Living Project Set for March 18 in Mason County

Mason County officials are gearing up for a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony for a new senior living project scheduled for March 18 at 1 PM. The event aims to promote the long-awaited development and inform the public about the progress being made.

Commissioner McKay confirmed the plans during the Mason County Fiscal Court meeting, emphasizing the importance of keeping the event local and manageable. "We want to let the public know that this project is going on and there’s movement finally," McKay stated. The timing of the event was adjusted from the initially proposed 3 PM to 1 PM to accommodate scheduling conflicts. Officials are coordinating with the Department for Local Government to finalize details and ensure attendance.

In addition to the groundbreaking, the meeting highlighted other community initiatives, including the upcoming Arbor Day proclamation and the search for a new transportation director for the Lake Powell Community Action Program.
