The design draws inspiration from the nearby Saint Gabriel Mission, incorporating Spanish Revival elements to align with the city’s architectural guidelines. The buildings will feature balconies facing Main Street and a courtyard that serves as a central gathering space.

The landscape design was also discussed, focusing on creating a welcoming environment for residents. Features will include a community garden, accessible pathways, and a variety of plant materials to enhance the aesthetic appeal and provide shade. The design team emphasized the importance of safety and accessibility, particularly for senior residents.

During the meeting, commissioners raised questions regarding pedestrian access to the community garden, suggesting that direct access from the north side of the parking lot could improve convenience for residents. The design team acknowledged this feedback and expressed willingness to explore adjustments to enhance accessibility.
