A representative from the Chesapeake Multicultural Resources Center shared insights on the challenges faced by immigrant families, highlighting the need for resources that cater to mental health and financial stability. "We try our best to find resources and connect them to whatever their need is," they explained.

As the roundtable progressed, participants discussed the significance of exposing students to a variety of career paths early on. One educator recounted a recent career fair that showcased diverse professions, from actors to welders, emphasizing the importance of broadening students' horizons beyond traditional roles. "Exposure is very important," they stated, reinforcing the idea that students should be aware of the many opportunities available to them.

The meeting concluded with a call for tailored support systems that recognize individual student journeys. "Success looks different for every student," one participant remarked, advocating for a more personalized approach to education that prepares young people for a range of futures, whether that involves college, vocational training, or other pathways.
