Spanish Fork plans Youth Arts Festival and community theater auditions for Shrek

The Spanish Fork City Council meeting on March 4, 2025, highlighted several community initiatives and upcoming events aimed at enhancing local engagement and support.

One of the key announcements was the upcoming Youth Arts Festival, set to take place at Spanish Fork High School. This event will coincide with auditions for the community theater production of "Shrek," with specific audition dates to be announced soon.

Council members also expressed gratitude for the efforts of Seth, a council member, as the legislative session nears its conclusion. His dedication was acknowledged in light of the various bills that have emerged during this session.

Kathleen Levitt, President of the Chamber of Commerce, shared exciting developments within the local business community. She announced the revival of the "Women Unite Wednesdays" initiative, which has already attracted 55 participants. This program aims to support women in business through networking events.

Levitt also outlined several upcoming events, including a networking luncheon on March 20, where Grace Ainger will discuss cancer screening resources for business owners. Additional highlights include ribbon-cutting ceremonies for Kwik Kwak Carwash on March 25 and Tabitha's Way food pantry on March 27. The annual Easter egg hunt is scheduled for April 19, and the Chamber Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place on May 14.
