Calistoga to introduce ice arena for holiday village this winter

Calistoga residents are set to enjoy a festive winter season as the city council announced the introduction of an ice arena for the upcoming holiday village. This initiative, supported by Indian Springs and the TAD board, aims to bring joy and community engagement during the winter months. The ice arena will be operational over several weekends, and organizers are actively seeking volunteers to help make the event a success.

In addition to the ice arena announcement, the council highlighted the recent success of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. Over the weekend, approximately 12 to 14 community members participated in intensive training sessions, learning vital emergency skills. The program received positive feedback, with participants expressing gratitude for the knowledge gained, including a local nurse who praised the training's effectiveness.

The meeting also featured attendance from key community figures, including Fire Chief Jed and the mayor, who welcomed the new CERT members. This collaborative effort underscores the city's commitment to preparedness and community safety.
