In financial matters, the finance staff has released a request for proposals for investment advisory services aimed at optimizing the city's investment strategies while minimizing risk. Proposals are due by June 6, 2024. Additionally, updates to the online utility services application will streamline the process for residents, allowing them to submit required documents digitally.

Utility shutoffs for nonpayment, originally scheduled for May 14, have been postponed to May 21 due to scheduling conflicts. The finance team is also working on enabling online business license applications and renewals, expected to launch by June 1.

Council member Hernandez shared highlights from the Founders Day Carnival, where a dunk tank raised over $500 for the sister city program, emphasizing the community's active participation in local events and fundraisers. The meeting concluded with a reminder of the ongoing opportunities for residents to engage and support Riverbank initiatives.
