Clay County proclaims March as Social Work Month to honor local social workers

Clay County has officially proclaimed March 2025 as Social Work Month, recognizing the vital contributions of social workers in the community. During the Clay County Board of Commissioners meeting on March 4, 2025, Quinn, a representative from the social work sector, emphasized the passion and dedication required in the profession. He highlighted the significant impact social workers have on vulnerable populations, advocating for individuals and families in need.

The proclamation detailed the extensive services provided by Clay County social workers over the past year, including over 3,595 intakes for service, support for 85 children in out-of-home care, and numerous assessments for child and adult protection.
