Crockett ISD celebrates two schools named AVID demonstration schools

During the recent Goose Creek CISD Board Meeting on March 3, 2025, a significant achievement was celebrated that highlights the district's commitment to educational excellence. The board recognized EF Green Junior School and Impact Early College High School for being named AVID demonstration schools, a prestigious designation that underscores their dedication to college and career readiness.

AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a program designed to prepare students for success in higher education. The recognition of these schools as AVID demonstration sites is a testament to their rigorous evaluation process and the hard work of their staff. Goose Creek CISD now stands out as one of only two districts in Texas with three AVID demonstration schools, joining Goose Creek Memorial High School, which earned its status in 2019.
