Clemson University reports record research funding and tuition freeze amid accolades

In a recent meeting of the House Education and Public Works Committee, Clemson University officials highlighted the institution's impressive achievements and the positive impact of state support on education and employment outcomes for graduates. With a remarkable 96 percent of students either employed, continuing their education, or enlisted in the military within six months of graduation, Clemson is setting a high standard for higher education in South Carolina.

Clemson's reputation continues to soar, as evidenced by rankings from major publications like the Wall Street Journal and Forbes, which named it the top university in the state. The university received high marks across various categories, including student life, academics, and safety, showcasing its commitment to providing a quality educational experience.

A significant point of discussion was the state's investment in tuition mitigation, which has allowed Clemson to freeze in-state tuition for five consecutive years. This financial support is crucial for attracting and retaining students, making a Clemson degree more accessible and valuable.
