The Woodbine Public Library is seeking to expand its hours and services to better serve the community, as highlighted during the Camden County Board of Commissioners meeting on March 4, 2025. Library representative Miss Sutton shared that the library, which opened in February 2020, currently operates only four hours a day, six days a week. This limited schedule has become a barrier for residents, particularly those needing access to court-related resources, as the nearby courthouse lacks facilities for copying and downloading necessary documents.
Sutton emphasized the library's role as a vital community resource, noting that many patrons visit daily for assistance. She proposed extending library hours to include all five mornings of the week, which would significantly enhance access to computers and other services. The library has also been active in organizing programs for both children and adults, with recent events attracting up to 45 participants.

Sutton invited community members to visit the library and check its schedule, expressing a desire to offer even more services.
The meeting also featured a presentation from Jeremy Snell, the new director of the 3 Rivers Regional Library, who discussed the introduction of launch pads—educational tools for children funded by a state grant. These devices are designed to promote early literacy and math skills and can be checked out by young patrons.
The discussions at the meeting underscored the library's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and community engagement in Woodbine. As the library seeks to expand its offerings, it aims to become an even more integral part of the community, fostering a love for reading and learning among residents of all ages.
