Lake County and Mount Dora advance Wolf Branch Innovation District mixed-use development plan

In a pivotal meeting held on March 4, 2025, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) discussed the ambitious plans for the Wolf Branch Innovation District, a proposed mixed-use employment center aimed at boosting the local economy and attracting high-quality jobs. The district is strategically positioned along the Wekiva Parkway extension, enhancing accessibility and economic prospects for Northeast Lake County. Brew highlighted that the area is projected to be one of Florida's fastest-growing employment centers over the next decade, contingent on the successful establishment of such sites.

The meeting also featured a presentation from the development team, who detailed the extensive collaboration that has taken place over the past two years with both the county and the city of Mount Dora.
