Summit County Council honors Melina Stevens for four years of dedicated service

A heartfelt farewell marked the Summit County Council meeting on December 11, 2024, as members gathered to honor Melina Stevens for her four years of dedicated service. The council unanimously approved Proclamation Number 2024-09, recognizing Stevens' contributions and leadership during her tenure.

Council members shared personal anecdotes and expressed deep gratitude for Stevens' impact on the community. "You were great as a vice chair," one member remarked, highlighting her role during the challenging early days of the pandemic. Another councilor noted, "It’s hard to articulate what you meant to us," emphasizing the behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed.
