One of the primary topics was the completion of a road project intended to enhance access for students traveling to school. The council is exploring funding opportunities through the Safe Routes to Schools program, which includes plans for a footbridge over Chalk Creek to facilitate safer crossings. Additionally, discussions included collaboration with a developer to potentially construct a driving bridge that would connect different areas of the valley, further improving traffic flow and safety.

The meeting also addressed the recent acquisition of ski operations in Mayflower by Deer Valley, raising questions about tax revenue distribution between Summit County, Park City, and Wasatch County. The council is actively evaluating the implications of this change, particularly concerning the management of the Mayflower area’s ZIP code, which has been a point of contention as it is currently associated with Park City despite being outside its jurisdiction.
