The RCSS Board of Education meeting held on October 21, 2024, commenced with a celebratory recognition of the Star Employees for the month. The Randolph County School System (RCSS) Star Employee Award honors school employees who demonstrate responsibility, good character, and a commitment to serving students. Each of the 32 schools, along with central services, selects two star employees annually, with awards presented during monthly board meetings from September through February.

This year marks the seventh consecutive year that Vicky Gallimore of REMAX Central Realty has sponsored the RCSS Star Employee Awards, providing 66 plaques for the winners throughout the 2024-2025 school year. The board expressed gratitude for Gallimore's ongoing support of school staff members.

As the meeting progressed, the first award recipient announced was Daryl Davis from Franklinville Elementary School, recognized for his exemplary service. Award recipients were invited to come forward to receive their plaques, with supporters encouraged to stand in recognition of their contributions. A group photo opportunity was scheduled for the end of the presentation.

The meeting highlighted the importance of acknowledging the hard work and dedication of school employees, fostering a sense of community and appreciation within the Randolph County School System.
