Encore Fire Protection signs long-term lease for Jackson Street property

The Holyoke Redevelopment Authority has taken a significant step towards revitalizing local industry with the announcement of a new long-term tenant at 55 Jackson Street. Encore Fire Protection, a company formed by consolidating several smaller fire protection firms in the region, has signed a 68-month lease with options for two additional three-year renewals. This move is expected to enhance the local economy and create job opportunities in the area.

Encore Fire Protection, which will officially begin operations on January 1, 2024, has committed to investing approximately $800,000 in renovations to the building. This substantial investment reflects the company's dedication to establishing a strong presence in Holyoke. The redevelopment authority has also contributed $350,000 in tenant improvement funds to support the renovation efforts, demonstrating a collaborative approach to fostering business growth in the community.

The property at 55 Jackson Street, originally built in 1980, is part of a larger industrial complex that includes a 35,000 square foot building housing AEGIS Energy Services and a solar field located on Sargent Street. The addition of Encore Fire Protection is anticipated to not only enhance the property’s value but also contribute to the overall economic development of Holyoke.
