Daly City is set to honor a long-time resident and community leader, Mister Nourish, who has dedicated over six decades to public service and civic engagement. A graduate of local schools and the University of California Hastings College of Law, Nourish has made significant contributions to the community through various roles, including coaching youth sports and serving on multiple local committees.

From 1972 to 2020, Nourish was actively involved in youth sports as a basketball coach and referee, fostering athletic skills and teamwork among local children. His commitment to education and youth development extended to his roles as a Sunday school teacher and Boy Scout troop leader.

Nourish's civic involvement began in the 1970s when he served on the Daly City Coastal Zone Committee and later chaired the Community Development Block Grant Committee. His leadership continued as he became a member of the Parish Council of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, where he served as president for 16 years.

In addition to his local contributions, Nourish was a trustee for the Jefferson Union High School District, where he held the position of board president during his nine terms. His leadership extended to the Daly City Exchange Club and the Daly City Chamber of Commerce, where he also served as president.
