Minnesota School Board Association conference to honor Corcoran and showcase new initiatives

Forest Lake Area Schools is set to enhance its educational framework and community engagement following key discussions during the recent School Board meeting held on January 2, 2025. A highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the upcoming Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) leadership conference, where member Corcoran will receive a prestigious president's award for her years of service. The conference, scheduled for January 14 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, will feature performances by the Forest Lake Cantaree and sessions aimed at training new board members.

In addition to the conference, the board discussed significant developments in technology and infrastructure. Member Tyson reported on a presentation by Elon Noor, the director of technology, regarding an AI policy assistant designed to help interpret questions and streamline decision-making processes.
