The Casa Grande Union High School District (CGUHSD) Governing Board meeting on January 13, 2025, highlighted several key achievements and upcoming initiatives for the district. The students included Melanie Stevens, Destiny Umbras, and Emily Ochoa, among others. Additionally, the district celebrated the success of students who participated in a recent competition in Sierra Vista, where Joseph Carton earned first place in personal financial literacy, and other students received accolades in various categories.

Superintendent Lavender announced the start of a significant road-widening project on Trucle Road, which will enhance safety for the 2,000 students at the school but may pose challenges during its nine-month duration.
A key agenda item was the discussion of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Pinal Hispanic Council to provide essential emotional health services for students. This partnership aims to support students facing challenging emotional health needs by facilitating access to professional counseling on campus.
The meeting concluded with a reminder of the next board meeting set for February 11, 2025, and an invitation for community members to participate in student career interviews scheduled for the following day. The board emphasized the importance of these initiatives in fostering a supportive educational environment for all students.
