North Kansas City Schools nears goal for full day early education access

In a significant update during the North Kansas City School District Board of Education meeting on February 11, 2025, officials celebrated nearing their ambitious goal of providing full-day early education to nearly all qualifying students by August 2025. With just 13 students remaining to meet the target, the district has made remarkable strides in enhancing equity and access to early education.

The district has also leveraged new funding sources, such as the MOQPK program, which allows for greater flexibility in classroom funding, enabling them to serve at-risk students who previously had limited access to full-day programs.
