Kenai City Council enacts multiple grants for senior services and dock improvements

The first ordinance, number 3446-2024, secures a grant from the Alaska Food Coalition for the Kenai Senior Center, aimed at enhancing operational capabilities. In addition to these ordinances, the council also approved a resolution to enter into a restaurant concession agreement at the Kenai Municipal Airport, with plans for the new restaurant to open by April 1, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the airport experience for travelers and boost local business.

The meeting concluded with discussions on budget transfers for municipal roadway improvements, including the replacement of city dock floats and concrete ramp repairs, showcasing the council's commitment to maintaining and improving city infrastructure.
