Skagit Housing Consortium and YMCA host events addressing homelessness and youth support

Mount Vernon City Council members highlighted several community events aimed at addressing housing and youth support during their meeting on March 12, 2025. These initiatives are designed to engage residents and enhance local resources.

One significant event is the Skagit Housing Consortium meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 1:00 PM. This monthly gathering, hosted by the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County, will feature a legislative update from Representative Alex Rammell on housing bills currently under consideration. Attendees will also learn about utilizing geographic information systems to analyze housing and economic development, making this a timely opportunity for community members interested in local housing issues.

Another key event is the Host Homes Town Hall, taking place the same evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Library Commons.
