Westview Middle School upgrades cafeteria with new furniture for $72755

In a recent Zoom meeting, the RGSD Schools Board discussed significant improvements to the cafeteria furniture at Westview Middle School, aiming to enhance the dining experience for students. The proposed changes include replacing outdated furniture with modern options that promote comfort and flexibility.

The plan involves acquiring 15 round tables with integrated stools, 8 rectangular tables, and high-top tables to provide varied seating arrangements. Additionally, booth seating will be introduced in a designated area to reward students for good behavior, allowing them a bit more autonomy during lunch. This initiative is part of a broader effort to create a more inviting and functional cafeteria space.

The total cost for this furniture upgrade is estimated at $72,755.75, which will be funded through the food service fund. Board member Mister Shai emphasized the importance of this investment, clarifying that the funds are specifically allocated for cafeteria improvements and are not part of a general shopping spree.
