Youth Sports Leagues Prepare for Spring Season Kickoff in Bluffton

Beaufort County's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting on March 6, 2025, highlighted an exciting season ahead for local youth sports, with multiple leagues gearing up for action. Soccer preparations are in full swing, with meetings scheduled for both soccer and flag football. Baseball and softball will celebrate their opening weekend this Saturday, with games for younger players starting Monday. Lacrosse is also on the rise, with teams readying for their first tournament following successful scrimmages.

Registration remains open for several youth leagues, including Diamond U softball for girls aged 13 to 16 and Dixie Boys baseball for ages 13 to 15. Adult sports leagues are also set to begin, despite a recent weather-related delay. A scrimmage was held on Monday, and the adult league is expected to kick off this coming Monday.

Bluffton's 8U girls secured an automatic bid to the state, while the 10U girls clinched their spot by winning the district tournament.
