Hastings Council discusses future bus line and transit routes with community support

During the Hastings City Council meeting on March 17, 2025, discussions centered on the future of public transportation in the community, particularly regarding bus services. Council Member House echoed Lightfoot's sentiments, assuring that the council's current decisions would not hinder future advocacy for transportation projects. He pointed out that there is a long-term vision for a transit location on the west side of Highway 55, contingent on future infrastructure developments.

The council agreed to place resolutions regarding these transportation discussions on a future agenda, signaling their commitment to exploring options for enhancing public transit in Hastings.
