Iowa House honors 2025 Entrepreneur Award winners Sarah Albert and Abe Sandquist

Sarah Albert, the founder and owner of Groom Curriculum from Emmensburg, Iowa, was awarded the 2025 Deb Dizelle Woman Entrepreneur Achievement Award. This accolade celebrates an Iowa woman entrepreneur who has made a notable impact on her community and beyond.

Abe Sandquist, the founder and owner of Natural Fertilizer Services in Woodbine, Iowa, received the 2025 Neil Smith Entrepreneur of the Year Award. This award is named after the long-serving Iowa congressman and is given to an entrepreneur who has been in business for at least three years and has received substantial support from an Iowa Small Business Development Center.

The House expressed its gratitude to the Iowa Small Business Development Centers for their ongoing efforts to enhance the business environment in Iowa. Following the motion for adoption of the resolution, the House unanimously supported the recognition of Albert and Sandquist, highlighting their achievements and the importance of small businesses in the state.
