A bold new dining concept is set to transform the Ocean City Boardwalk, as the Worcester Board of License Commissioners reviewed an ambitious proposal for a multi-faceted restaurant during their March 19 meeting. The establishment, named Flamingo Coast, aims to offer a unique blend of dining experiences, including a sandwich café, a rooftop lounge, and a speakeasy-style VIP vault.
The proposal, presented by Chelsea, highlighted the restaurant's innovative design, which breaks the space into three distinct areas. The sandwich café will feature a streamlined ordering system reminiscent of popular chains, allowing patrons to enjoy breakfast and lunch with ease. "We want people to order and then receive their order at the end of the line," Chelsea explained, emphasizing the goal of minimizing congestion on the boardwalk.

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the proposal is the speakeasy vault, designed to cater to private events and offer a more elevated dining experience. "We want to create a different experience that they wouldn't normally receive in Ocean City," Chelsea stated, indicating a focus on intimate gatherings like bridal showers and private dinners.
The board expressed enthusiasm for the concept, recognizing its potential to enhance the local dining scene. As the proposal moves forward, the community eagerly anticipates the arrival of Flamingo Coast, which promises to bring a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to the iconic boardwalk.
