Maryland Senate honors 2024 Blue Ribbon Schools for academic excellence

The Maryland Senate celebrated educational excellence during its session on March 19, 2025, recognizing several schools that have achieved the prestigious Blue Ribbon status. This honor is awarded to schools that rank in the top 15% statewide based on academic performance, school climate, and continuous improvement efforts.

Among the schools honored were Bells Mills Elementary School, Bishop McNamara High School, and Woodfield Elementary School, among others from various counties including Montgomery, Baltimore, and Howard.
